As they're made from naturally grown gourds, every Pearl Folkloric Shekere is a bit different, which adds authenticity to each unique instrument. These types of shekeres are often used in the Cuban 'Guiro' style of music and Pearl aims to recreate that authentic, Cuban feel. The Pearl PSK-70FC Traditional Natural Gourd Shekere Caja, with its white and red beading, is the largest of Pearl's Folkloric shekeres, and as such it produces a deeper sound than its two smaller siblings. All of them, however, are fitted with a fibreglass lining, which adds strength, volume and sustain to the instrument. They all feature adjustable beaded netting around the body of the gourd as well. This unique instrument can be a fun addition to your percussive palette!
